I am back again! Congrats on your 2.55 miles! Doesn't it feel great to go that far? It makes me want to work even harder, even if only going .01 miles further, the next day!
I am probably 3 weeks ahead of you with the couch to 5k training, and believe it or not, I was able to skip a couple of weeks because my endurance kicked in about 10 days ago. I did my first 3 mile run in under 29 minutes!
Our dinners look the same from last night. We had chicken pot pie soup!
Have a fabulous Tuesday! It's raining in my neck of the woods. Hope the sun is shinning where you are!
Thank you! 2.55 miles sure felt like a big accomplishment for me, even though I ran and walked it, but it certainly feels good when I'm done :) I can't wait to see my distance grow too, congrats on your 3 mile run for only 29 minutes!!! I hope to get there soon. MMm chicken pot pie soup? where'd you get that recipe?!
I eat plain greek yogurt and I love it. I add nuts and fresh fruit and it tastes so much better than the yoplait crap that's full of sugar. In my opinion, anyway! I've been eating greek for about 5 years now and will never go back!
Lisa thanks for stopping by! Do you have any specific brand of greek yogurt you like? Or just any plain variety is good? I'm a bit wary of plain because it's so sour, perhaps it's something you get used to? I agree that yoplait yogurt is NOT very good or good for you.
Hi Robin! I'm a Fage yogurt girl, myself. I've tried the Chobani and I just don't like it as well as Fage for some reason. I buy the plain yogurt and add in honey or homemade granola, or diced fruit and nuts. Very tasty!! I've even heard of adding peanut butter, but I tried that and I DID NOT LIKE. There are so many things you can do with greek yogurt. Good job on the running!! You rock!!
Hi Jill! Thanks for sharing your yogurt choice, the first time I tried greek yogurt it was Fage and I really loved it. I also saw a recipe for "cookie dough" greek yogurt where you add peanut butter and a few other things...I wasn't sure that would be very good though. Thanks for your support :)
Don't let blog drama get to ya. Bleh. I buy Atlanta Fresh full fat greek yogurt for it's quality. It's made from grass fed cow milk. If they don't have that I buy the full fat Fage. I really don't like Chobani because I feel like it's labeled healthy but has added sugar and other stuff :/
You are right about blog drama, I got caught up in it way too easily only to realize how silly it all was. Atlanta Fresh? I'm not sure I've seen that around here in MN, do you get it at a specialty store? I hadn't even looked for added sugars in my yogurt now I need to go compare! Thanks for the comment :)
