Green Smoothie's and C25K

Tuesday was an exciting day for me, why? Because I made a yummy green smoothie for breakfast, I knew I wanted to make a green smoothie for breakfast because I was going out to lunch with an old co-worker who I adore and I wanted to have some extra points to eat.

I grabbed the frozen fruit I wanted to use, frozen cherries and summer harvest blend.

I put baby spinach, protein powder, a banana and some toasted almonds with a little water in the Magic Bullet.

Then I blended it up real green :)

Added the fruit and voila! Smoothie yum

P.S. don't look at my messy desk at work...

For lunch my friend and I went to Panera, I love that place and the bf won't ever go with me so I only get it when I am with girlfriends. I checked out the menu ahead of time planning what I wanted. I got their Turkey Cafe sandwich and their Apple Chicken salad for a total of 13 WW Points Plus. Don't look at that stupid piece of bread they tried to trick me with, boooooo sneaky extra bread.

After work I stared Week 5 of my C25K, which is 5 minutes of running and 3 minutes of walking, it was actually really easy, but then I made the mistake of looking ahead to what my run will be like for Thursday. 8 minutes of running, 5 minutes of walking then 8 more minutes of running. AHHHH Luckily I'm joined up with  The Spring Training Challenge and have plenty of support!

I used leftover taco ingredients to throw together a super filling and super delicious taco salad for dinner!

What a great Tuesday :)
 Did you enjoy your Tuesday?
Did you wake up to snow on the ground like we did here in MN today?

  2. Panera is SO darn good. I am pretty certain I could eat there multiple times per week. It is probably a good thing that I do not, for my wallet's sake ;).

    1. Maybe I should stop looking ahead and freaking myself out, just tackle each run as it comes lol but I probably won't be able to resist looking ahead!

  4. I love the Fuji Apple chicken salad! I don't understand, though, why they give you the bread when you do the combo thing. I don't often do that, but when I do, the bread gets wrapped and taken home for dinner or breakfast the next morning. Yum!

We had temps in the mid-80s day. Perfect day to mow the lawn. Not! :)

    1. In the past they have asked if I want chips, bread or an apple, I always pick apple but their apples are always nasty. Why would I want bread or chips with my sandwich? carb overload....hey mid 80s sounds likes a dream with our snow storm happening

  5. No snow here! It finally warmed up in the Sunshine State and it was 80 degrees today. It's almost too hot to run now which makes me sad until I think of going to the beach. I love Panera so much. I usually go for the 1/2 Greek salad and 1/2 Asiago Roast Beef sandwich for about 11PP. So yummy! What kind of protein powder do you use in your smoothies? I want to start making them for my breakfasts now that it's warming up.

    1. wow 80 degrees...I hardly remember what that feels like! oh the greek salad is a good one too! I use Aria vanilla women's protein powder from Trader Joe's, it has the lowest points I've ever found for a protein powder and its yummy!

  6. What do men have against Panera? My husband won't ever go there either. Guess it's just not "man food!" That smoothie looks really good! No snow here thank goodness! I am over that! Hope you get some spring weather soon.
