Snow day...more like Snack day

Up here in the tundra of Minnesota, we got a big dumping of snow in the last few days. I had a couple meetings scheduled and I had stupidly left my laptop at work. It took me almost an hour and a half to drive a twenty minute drive! I'm pretty sure I was one of about ten people that showed up at my work...My meetings were cancelled and I was sooo annoyed! After a few hours of getting stuff done I decided to head home and work from home for the rest of the day. The only downside to working from home? Free access to all the food at my house! The points I usually save for evening snacks or dessert were used up between lunch and dinner on a Luna bar and chips and salsa. I don't really regret that I did that but it was sort of silly how much I wanted to snack since I was just sitting at home. But I did not binge and I counted everything and after dinner and my small dessert I did not partake in any more eating for the rest of the night. So I guess snowy days make me feel like I should stock up like a bear preparing to hibernate hahaha! Just need to remind myself that I'm a girl not a bear :) How do you handle alone time at home when you are bored?

Here is my chocolate lab girl Bella enjoying the snow.

I didn't photo my breakfast since it was the same ol' yogurt/fruit/cereal biz I've been eating, figured ya'll were sick of seeing that same thing. You're welcome.

Lunch- my big ol' salad! I forgot to mix it up before this photo so all you see are the toppings lol There is a lot more in there than cheese and croutons I swear!

Dinner- the bf was a huge fan of those steak strips I made last week so we had a repeat of that meal, it really is filling and delicious.

Then for dessert I had been wanting to try this Berry Cobbler from Living a Changed Life so since I was working at home this was the perfect chance. I would say it was a 6.5 out of 10. It was good, but not amazing. It was messy to dish up and eat and not super satisfying. The bf wanted to just eat the cakey top off of it and not the fruit part lol. Each serving was 4 Points Plus. Another downside? It makes a whole big pan and doesn't look like it would freeze well. We are just two friends so it's not likely we can eat it all before its yucky. Oh well, glad I tried something new!

    1. :) HEY! I work in Minneapolis, just west of downtown, but I live up in a norther suburb about 20 minutes away. You talk about traveling for work all the time I'm sure that gets tiring! Where do you stay in MPLS?
